The Role
We are hiring a Financial Accountant to join the IPL team in Dublin. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant to thrive and progress within a dynamic environment. This role is based in our head office in St Stephens Green Dublin 2, we offer a hybrid working model with a mix of remote and in office work.
This opportunity offers you the chance to become an integral part of the IPL Group Finance team. You will have ownership over key areas of our Finance Function and the opportunity to join a strong Group Finance team where your input will be valued. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant looking for their first step into industry or likewise for individuals looking to join a large Group with $1b turnover, operations across the globe and ample opportunity for development.
Overview of Key Duties
- Responsible for monthly general ledger processing, and preparation of monthly accounts for corporate/ Head office entities to strict reporting deadlines in accordance with IFRS and corporate accounting policies.
- Preparation/review of balance sheet analysis and reconciliations including bank, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets.
- Preparation of individual financial statements for Group entities to meet filing deadlines.
- Liaising with auditors to address audit information requests.
- Preparation of intercompany management recharges.
- Assist with transition to new financial accounting system.
- Assist with implementation of appropriate internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Complete bi-weekly cash flow forecasting for corporate entities.
- Assist with other ad hoc financial information requests.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
- 2- 3 years’ experience
- Strong Excel skills; ERP system experience is an advantage
- Strong technical accounting experience
- A demonstrated ability to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities
