Chief Financial and Strategy Officer (CFO)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s growth strategy during an exciting period of significant expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead all financial and operational functions, driving strategic planning, operational excellence, and organisational alignment. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and the successful execution of transformative business initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to define and implement long-term strategic goals.
- Foster cross-departmental alignment, ensuring accountability and collaboration to meet organisational objectives.
- Oversee the development and standardisation of performance metrics and operational outputs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing actionable insights to support key decision-making processes.
Financial Management
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with growth objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee financial reporting, providing clear, accurate, and timely updates to the CEO, board, and stakeholders.
- Monitor resource allocation and cost optimisation to maintain financial health and competitiveness.
Operational Oversight
- Manage core operational areas, including IT systems, infrastructure, and facilities, to support scalability and efficiency.
- Implement and refine operational policies to drive consistent performance and operational resilience.
- Oversee business continuity and risk management strategies to safeguard organisational sustainability.
Strategic Growth Initiatives
- Drive the evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Support market expansion and diversification efforts in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue streams to drive long-term growth and profitability.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified professional – MBA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in financial leadership roles within dynamic, high-growth organisations.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, M&A, corporate governance, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Solid experience in operational scalability, risk management, and process optimisation.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams.
