Role Purpose
This role will play a critical role in delivering on key strategic and operational outcomes for the Business function.
These initiatives will be underpinned by an Operations function, and a newly developed Partner and Supplier Service Model which this role will oversee and deliver upon.
Reporting to: Director of Business Strategy and Operations
Main accountabilities and key tasks:
- Lead the development and delivery of key strategic priorities in conjunction with the Director of Business Strategy ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy and the 4-year plan
- Partners and Supplier Focus: Lead on the implementation of a robust Business function strategy focused on generating value and delivering enhanced returns for CarTrawler, including identifying opportunities through Partners and Supplier for growth and optimizing existing revenue streams
- Optimise Partnerships: Manage the delivering of a refined Business function service model, focusing on establishing and nurturing relationships with existing, more profitable, and strategically aligned Partners and Suppliers
- New Service Model: Implement and continuously monitor the new Business function service model across Partnerships, Supply, and Mobility, ensuring it enhances operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Support the management of a revised Mobility service model focusing on higher value Partners
- Analytics: Supporting Partnerships and Supply including overseeing rebate reporting, planning, whilst monitoring performance through key performance metrics, using insights to drive strategic adjustments and improve outcomes.
- Innovation Initiatives: Support the implementation of innovative technologies and processes that support the company’s growth and ambition by play a leading role in fostering a culture of transformation and innovation within the company including the exploration of GenAI solutions to enhance efficiency and support suppliers, partners, and internal teams
People Management:
- Hiring, onboarding & successfully embedding new employees to enable them to thrive within CarTrawler
- Providing ongoing feedback & coaching by having constructive development conversations with your team as part of our performance and development process
- Providing clarity on company strategy and hold team accountable by having regular 121’s Leads, motivates and inspires by role modelling our company values
Critical Interfaces:
- Partnerships, Supply and Go-Live to ensure on aligned agendas for the delivery of our Strategy, Commercial focus and Operational excellence
- Trading function to ensure that performance and specifically Insurance performance is appropriately monitored, and actions take to fix any macro-opportunities or concerns
- People Partner to ensure the management of critical people factor within the Business function
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with proven track record in a similar leadership role including experience in driving business strategy and operations
- Skilled in leading on strategic and creating opportunities, with a keen ability to understand insights, create plans and drive commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment, with strong skills in prioritizing and planning.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate plans clearly across all levels of the organization. Proficient in negotiation and influencing outcomes to align with business objectives
- Outstanding relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to foster collaboration across departments and with external partners, ensuring alignment and mutual success
- Effective decision-maker with strong critical thinking skills, capable of making decisions in ambiguity and assessing their implications
Role will be based in Dublin. Operating in hybrid working environment.
