Duties
- Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using various programming languages and frameworks, including .NET, Python, and Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design effective solutions.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
- Write and maintain documentation for software applications, including user manuals and technical specifications.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment and maintenance.
- Utilise version control systems such as SVN to manage code changes effectively.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Experience
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Python, and Ruby on Rails is essential.
- Experience with database management systems like MySQL and SQL is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of application development methodologies and best practices is preferred.
- Previous experience with VBA is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
