Our Client
Our client is a family owned business with an experienced senior management team that have been with the company for a long time. This is a replacement role as the current incumbent is retiring so there will be a lengthy and detailed handover period.

Who should apply?
From speaking with our client, we believe an experienced accountant with a minimum of 10 years PQE with the following would be advantageous:
- Strong grounding in financial reporting
- Commercial awareness
- Calm personality and measured in their approach
- Prior experience of reporting to the Board
- Proven track record in the delivery of operational excellence
- Ability to business partner with key internal and external stakeholders.
Role and Reporting Lines
This role will be the most senior person in finance and will report to the CEO. Managing a small team of finance and operational professionals, the role will be varied to include:
- Reporting – Preparation of quarterly management accounts, B/S recs, year-end accounts, liaising with auditors, and preparation of audited financial statements
- Compliance – Ensuring financial compliance
- Finance Operations – Hands-on involvement
- Tax planning, liaising with tax advisors
- Setting realistic/tangible budgets and forecasts coupled investigating variance
- Financial modelling, monthly projections and cashflow planning
- Ad hoc project work
