A dynamic and growing organisation is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance function and support strategic business growth. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the CFO will oversee financial operations, drive financial planning, ensure compliance, and contribute to overall business strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to maintain financial stability.
- Implement strategies to optimise financial resources and improve cash flow efficiency.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Strengthen internal financial processes and controls.
Accounting & Tax Compliance
- Oversee financial record-keeping, tax filings, and audit processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
Strategic Business Support
- Provide financial insights to guide key business decisions, including pricing, investment, and acquisitions.
- Evaluate financial risks and opportunities for growth.
Risk Management & Governance
- Ensure financial risk management policies and processes are in place.
- Maintain adequate insurance coverage and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering career development and strong financial discipline.
- Contribute to SLT discussions and decision-making processes.
Investor & Stakeholder Relations
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors and financial institutions.
Experience Required:
- 7–10 years’ experience in finance, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience working in a growing business or division with revenues of €10–50m preferred.
- Strong expertise in financial strategy, accounting principles, and operational execution.
- Knowledge of PPP and experience with Framework agreements would be highly regarded
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial management tools.
- Strong business acumen with experience in pricing strategies, capital expenditures, and investment decisions.
Educational Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
