Robert Half is working exclusively with a growing global business to hire a Senior Finance & Operations Manager (Interim). This is a unique chance to play a key role in transitioning accounting and financial operations from the US to Europe while supporting business growth.

This is an interim role for a minimum of 3 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational mindset, broad financial expertise, and the ability to challenge the status quo. You’ll play a key role in supporting the business, working closely with both finance and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transition of accounting processes from the US to Europe, ensuring a smooth handover.
Provide financial support across various business functions, acting as a key finance and operational partner.
Oversee tax compliance in Ireland and ensure accurate VAT reporting in Ireland and the Netherlands.
Assist in financial reporting, forecasting, and identifying potential challenges or opportunities.
Serve as the go-to person for accounting and finance, actively participating in key business discussions.
Work closely with the operations team, offering insights beyond finance to support market expansion.
Manage internal stakeholder relationships, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements, working with the US-based audit team.

Key Requirements:

7+ years accounting experience.
Strong VAT knowledge.
Experience managing financial transitions and setting up European accounting structures.
Background in both finance and operational support – ability to go beyond numbers and drive business decisions.
Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with internal stakeholders and external teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of responsibilities.
Hands-on, problem-solving mindset – someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
