Job Overview
The Financial Manager will oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance with accounting standards. The role requires a detail-oriented individual.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30-17:00
Location: Dublin, Ireland or Loughrea, Galway
Key Accountabilities
- Take responsibility for the Month-End timetable, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are aware of timescales and that reports are produced on time and in line with agreement and Shareholder deadlines. Strive to reduce the month-end timescales by implementing improvements in processes and systems.
- Manage the cashflow reporting and forecasting process within the Central Finance team, including collating responses from Commercial, Operations, and Finance regarding likely billing, collection, and payments.
- Minimise risk within the business by reviewing and controlling all items on the balance sheet.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key financial information, including financial analysis, projections, budgets and variances. (weekly and monthly).
- Preparation, analysis, and posting of journals at the end of the month.
- Overseeing monthly management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
- Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at the end of the month.
- Enhancement of existing processes and development of new ones to ensure the most efficient completion of duties.
- Responsible for budgeting and cash forecasting.
ESSENTIAL:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2-4 years relevant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in managing a finance team and driving best practice
- Proven experience in managing compliance with Internal Control systems and IFRS
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-moving environment
- SAP/Sage/NAV or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
