Barden has partnered with a professionally run company in the gambling and entertainment industry. The business is at a critical juncture due to significant regulation being introduced which will bring opportunity to scale and further develop the business.
This key hire will work closely with the MD to provide strategic financial leadership, direction, and control to help the business achieve commercial success. They will have the opportunity to participate in commercial transactions, M&A activity, business planning, and scenario analysis.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in the delivery of strategic objectives, operational plans and assessment of commercial opportunities.
- Overall responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, reporting and understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Lead and manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Lead business analysis including development of ad-hoc analysis and analysis and commentary on regular daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting.
- Ensure that the regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Manage the Capex process
- Decision support to the Director, in particular, including close involvement in commercial negotiations.
- Lead and manage audit process
- Cashflow and cost management
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACMA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong commercial acumen
- Must demonstrate a progressive track record of success, including leadership and management skills to oversee operational financial performance effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to develop effective relationships and build a positive collaborative environment
- Experienced in leading and managing multiple tasks / projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Experience of driving finance improvements across a business.
- Contribution to the development of an organisations growth strategy through effective development of business relationships.
