The day to day

Building automated, scalable services and systems to power our growing infrastructure

Collaborating with an agile team that is passionate about new technologies and delivering high quality and timely code

Working with monitoring and alerting systems to aid engineering and support efforts

Constantly look for opportunities to automate and optimize

Work with Kubernetes solutions across various cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP
-
Produce quality, testable and maintainable systems with fast feedback loops

Build and enhance infrastructure for serving WordPress on thousands of servers

Be customer inspired and work closely with business partners to incrementally deliver positive outcomes through technology

Develop CI/CD pipelines for pushing code into production
Your expertise and passion
-
2+ years software engineering experience
-
Has worked on an agile team and is passionate about SRE principles
-
Proficient in Python or Go programming
-
Expertise working with Kubernetes and containerization
-
Experience working with Kubernetes orchestration on hosted cloud service like AWS, GCP or Azure
-
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.

Understanding of the common WordPress technology stack is desirable: Linux, Varnish, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, and PHP

Has experience (or interest) in: configuration management systems, monitoring systems and computer network technologies

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or Equivalent Experience
