Kooba is growing! We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in building and managing backend systems that support our client’s websites. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with JavaScript-based backends, PHP-based CMS solutions, modern DevOps, and CI/CD processes, as well as familiarity with frontend frameworks.
You’ll join a team of colleagues who work hard to deliver the best results for our clients, and exceptional experiences for their users.
- Three years of experience: Ideally in an agency environment
- Backend Expertise: Proven experience with JavaScript-based backend systems, specifically CMS solutions such as Sanity, Strapi and Storyblok.
- PHP & CMS Proficiency: Strong knowledge of PHP-based CMS platforms (WordPress, ExpressionEngine, CraftCMS, Drupal).
- Server Management: Hands-on experience with Apache, Node.js, and server optimisation best practices.
- DevOps & Cloud Services: Proficiency with modern DevOps tools and platforms (Vercel, Netlify, AWS) and understanding of deployment pipelines and cloud environments.
- Containerisation: Experience with Docker or similar containerisation tools for application packaging.
- Data Design and Management: Solid knowledge of GraphQL and REST for data structuring.
- CI/CD Skills: Deep experience in setting up and managing CI/CD workflows to streamline development, testing, and deployment.
- Frontend Frameworks Familiarity: Comfortable with frontend frameworks (React, Svelte, Astro) and understanding of how backend and frontend technologies interact.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Project Experience: Experience working on production level websites and the ability to help manage project scope and ensure process is followed
