Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Web Designer/Developer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have strong foundations in web design and development, with specific expertise in Webflow and WordPress. Key Responsibilities:
Web Design & Development:
- Create and develop responsive websites using Webflow and/or WordPress
- Transform design files from Figma/Sketch into fully functional websites
- Ensure websites are optimised for performance, user experience, and SEO
- Maintain and update existing websites as needed
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Webflow design and development
- WordPress theme development and customisation
- HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript implementation
- Version control using Git
Design Implementation:
- Convert Figma and Sketch designs into pixel-perfect websites
- Maintain consistent brand guidelines across web projects
- Create responsive designs that work across all devices
- Implement modern web design principles and best practices
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the design team, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical team members
- Participate in project planning and status meetings
Project Management:
- Manage multiple web projects simultaneously
- Meet project deadlines and work within established timelines
- Document development processes and maintain technical documentation
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in web design/development
- Strong portfolio demonstrating Webflow and WordPress projects
- Proficiency in Figma and/or Sketch
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of HTML5, PHP, CSS3, and JavaScript
