Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help with mobility support, transfers, and basic exercises as required.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control and health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with activities of daily living and any special patient needs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and report patient conditions clearly and accurately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Fetac Level 5 in Healthcare Support, QQI Award, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Up-to-date manual handling and infection control training (training can be provided if needed).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A caring and professional approach to patient care.
