Role Overview: The Customer Account Specialist will ensure our portfolio of Finished Goods complies with customer and 3rd party distribution requirements. Reporting to the New Product Introduction Manager, this role involves collaborating with multiple departments to ensure that both new and existing products comply with required standards.
Role Deliverables:
- Work closely and update on projects to New Product Introduction Manager and to Portfolio Project Team.
- Gather and collate customer Standards and manage so that they are up to date.
- Create a comprehensive guide that outlines specific customer requirements and expectations for finished goods for use by Technical/Quality/ Commercial and Operation teams.
- Ensure compliance to customer’s policies and standards are maintained for New Products and existing SKUs.
- Review raw material specifications with project team, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Liaise and co-operate with commercial teams to ensure that customer specifications are adhered to.
- Technical Point of Contact: Act as the primary liaison between the customer technical teams and internal departments, ensuring safety, quality, and legal standards are met across all products and projects.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work alongside commercial and NPD teams to drive customer account development and support project delivery.
- Artwork Review: Verify product labels for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer and operational standards before product launches. Provide accurate and timely information and reports to management regarding changes in Customer Specifications
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Science or Project Management
- You will have minimum 5 years’ experience in a FMCG environment, to include experience with New Product Introduction and customer management.
- You will have a strong understanding of manufacturing, quality systems, supply chain, validations, capital and expense management at site level.
- Strong Strategy development and planning skills.
- Strong issue identification and problem analysis, with the ability to create and execute solutions based on the gathered data.
- Proficiency with common program management communication software tools and techniques.
- Strong technical competencies in packaging science including knowledge of corrugate substrate.
Experience of SAP would be beneficial.
