We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused part time Shop Assistant to join our team at our Cork store. The position will be a minimum of 20 hours per week which may include occasional Sunday work.
Shop opening hours are Monday - Saturday 09:00-18:00 & Sunday 12:00 - 16:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help customers with recycling and purchasing items in the store.
- Maintain the shop’s cleanliness and organization.
- Stock shelves, manage inventory, and assist with product displays.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer any queries related to products and services.
- Work as part of a team to achieve store targets and uphold company standards.
Requirements:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and reliable.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for sustainability and recycling is desirable.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.
