Job Title: Front End Developer
Job Description:
Hartley People Recruitment are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join a successful team in Dublin.
In this role, you will create visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces for web applications.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in front-end technologies and a strong passion for delivering top-quality user experiences.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years with JavaScript (including ES6+).
- At least 1 year with TypeScript and React.
Web Technologies:
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and preprocessors like Sass.
- Experience with Bootstrap.
Development Skills:
- Experience in planning, designing, building, and reviewing reliable, scalable, and accessible websites.
- Familiarity with state management (e.g., Context API, Redux, MobX).
- Understanding of asynchronous requests and API integrations (e.g., Axios).
Accessibility & Usability:
- Experience delivering compliant, accessible solutions (e.g., WCAG standards).
Build Tools & Version Control:
- Experience with command-line tools like npm, Webpack.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Testing & Debugging:
- Experience writing unit tests (e.g., using Jest).
- Familiarity with browser testing/debugging tools like BrowserStack and LambdaTest.
Communication:
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with D365 Commerce and Microsoft Site Builder.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Lifecycle Services (LCS), and related ecosystems.
- Familiarity with other front-end technologies (e.g., Vue.js, Angular) and frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby).
- Background in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Elastic Path, AEM, Hybris, SFCC, Drupal, Magento).
- Full stack knowledge (e.g., Node.js).
- Familiarity with DevOps (e.g., Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker).
- Experience working in globally distributed teams and in agency or consulting settings.
- Understanding of SEO optimisation, server-side rendering (SSR), and page performance troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate proactively with clear written and verbal skills.
- Contribute to development using TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS (Sass), and related technologies.
- Take ownership of new development projects, delivering software on time.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with product owners, business analysts, testers, and other developers.
