They are now seeking an enthusiastic Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a largescale residential development in West Dublin. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop your skills with a leading organisation with a huge pipeline of work.
Your new role
The project has been underway for a number of years with the completion of the total housing units expected to be early 2025 which is to be followed by the construction of 5 apartment blocks at the same location.
In your new role you will work under the Senior Quantity Surveyor on contractual matters at general and project level, timely drafting of commercial/contractual correspondence and support with project correspondence. You will assist in preparing monthly valuations, cost reports, variations, and the submission of final reports along with carrying out measurement of the building elements along. You will look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost, identify and investigate losses.
What you’ll need to succeed
- You will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and preferably have 1-2 years’ experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- You will have the ability to use time productively and efficiently to meet challenging project goals.
- Strong communication skills are important as you will be liaising with management dealing with internal stakeholders and commercial representatives.
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
