Great progression opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive/Coordinator at this luxury five star in Cork
This luxury five star property in Cork is currently recruiting a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their sales and marketing team. This role is responsible for maximising all sales opportunities, with a particular focus on the corporate, meetings & events and group segments.
Key role responsibilities:
- Identify new leads and sales opportunities for the hotel
- Undertake weekly proactive sales calls/activities with clients as per agreed KPIs
- Promote and generate new business for transient corporate, group and meetings & events segments and other segments as required
- Proactive client relationship management of new and existing clients
- Organise and conduct site inspections and FAM trips
- Represent the hotel at networking events and trade fairs
- Database management with focus on growing & segmenting contacts for better communication
- Competitor analysis updates and reviews
- Maintain the highest level of communication internally and externally in line with the five-star hotel brand standards
- Assist with managing the content of the hotel’s website and social media platforms in relation to the aforementioned segments corporate, group, meetings and events (and other segments as required)
- Ensure that all promotional material is current, effective and supports any new sales and marketing promotions
- Local, national and overseas travel required with this role
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a Sales or Business Development Executive role, preferably within a 4/5 star luxury property
- Experience in dealing with corporate and MICE markets locally, nationally and internationally
- Experience in lead generation and/or creating successful sales pitches
- Target-focused and enjoys a challenging & fun, never boring work dynamic
- Good communicator who enjoys meeting with new people and embracing new opportunities
- Creative thinker who is a problem solver not creator
- Self-motivator, organised, who can work independently but with clear direction from the senior management team
- A proven track record in group and event conversion, as well as achieving sales targets
- Candidates must have their own transport and hold a full, clean drivers licence
