Assistant Accountant / Company Accountant
Location: Cork
Salary: €40-50k D.O.E.
We are looking for an experienced part-qualified Accountant, to assist with the Admin and Accounts work of the Finance department.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- General admin re suppliers - utilities, phones etc
- Handling Customer & Vendor setup forms
- Insurance administration
- Weekly invoice/credit note run
- Issuing statements and aged debt report
- Monthly sales reps report
- Intrastat & VIES returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Fixed asset register & depreciation
- Take ownership of Northern Ireland entity accounts and admin
- Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- TSS and other UK returns
- Assistance with the annual audits and ISO
- Liaising with other members of the Finance and Purchasing Teams
- Other tasks as they may arise
The ideal candidate for this position:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an advantage.
- Experience with UK accounts an advantage.
- Must be able to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail.
