Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Permanent, North Dublin
Our client, a prominent insurance company, is expanding their team to deliver innovative software solutions that enhance business processes. The successful candidate will join the Process Automation team, focusing on automating current manual processes to boost efficiency and drive impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and lead the functional testing activities for assigned projects, crafting both test and automation strategies and executing comprehensive testing plans.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust testing framework supports all development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Test Strategy Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing testing strategies for new projects, identifying relevant test types, and building an effective automation plan.
- Automation Frameworks: Skilled in automated framework development using libraries such as Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber, or Rest Assured.
- Java Development: Proficient in Java, with hands-on experience writing functional and integration automation tests.
- Test Suite Development: Experienced in creating BDD test suites using Gherkin, Cucumber, and JUnit.
- Continuous Integration (CI/CD): Background in highly automated environments, with experience using Maven to manage and trigger test runs.
- Version Control: Strong Git skills for source code management and collaboration.
- OCR and LLM Testing: Experience with testing OCR or large language model (LLM) solutions.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Intelligent OCR or LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT) is highly advantageous.
- Previous work in the life or pensions industry is a plus.
