We are recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to support in transforming the financial operations within NFP Ireland as the company continues to grow. You will assist the Financial Controller and the wider Ireland finance team in managing all aspects of audit and compliance, transactional finance, management accounts, and transformational projects.
Overview of duties
- Assist the Financial Controller in the review of the accuracy and reliability of statutory accounts, taking full ownership of the process.
- Participate in the coordination of the statutory audit for all Irish entities within the NFP entities in Ireland.
- Assist in the preparation of Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) returns, VAT, corporation tax calculations, and P30 returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the review and approve accounts payable transactions and ensure weekly payment processes are efficient for all Irish entities.
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring alignment with budgets and facilitating changes as needed.
- Conduct payroll analysis, providing insights into variances and ensuring budget compliance.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process within the business unit, providing insight and analysis into the key year on year movements.
- Support and manage the financial control processes across the business.
- Monthly income reporting, reconciliation, and income forecasting.
- Responsible for reporting financial performance for your business line including the production and reconciliation of monthly management accounts, both P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Involvement in ad-hoc projects as and when required

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Well organised and self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels
- Accurate, with an eye for detail and ability to question everything from a financial perspective
- Technically competent
Education / and or Experience
- Fully qualified accountant with three year’s experience within the financial services industry
- Degree level or equivalent educational qualifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Experience with accounting software such as Workday, Oracle or SAP, is an advantage but not a necessity.
- Experience working towards tight deadlines in a fast paced financial services organisation.
- Proven business partnering skills
