Insight Investment is seeking a Finance Associate to join the Dublin Finance team.
Division Description:
The Finance function is responsible for ensuring Insight's numbers are accurate and clearly communicated. It is a global team with staff in London, New York, Dublin, and Pune.
- The Financial Control Team is responsible for the maintenance and control over Insight's books and records. In addition, they are responsible for key finance functions such as capital and liquidity management, regulatory reporting, management of the corporate banking relationships, month-end close processes and the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
- The Financial Analysis Team is responsible for analysing Insight's financials and presenting them clearly to Insight's senior management, providing commercial insights to support informed business and strategic decisions. The team cover AUM (Assets Under Management) reporting, revenue/costs P&L, annual budget & ongoing forecasts, Management Information (MI) production, invoicing, and fee commercial control/analysis
- The Finance Change Team is also responsible for driving Finance's change agenda, ensuring Finance adapts to the everchanging environment and delivers to support our corporate strategy, Executives, and other department partners' individual objectives. This includes delivery of new commercial outputs, enhancements to existing processes to drive efficiencies, reduction of finance operational risks, and supporting the development of our finance systems architecture
Role Overview:
The role will support the investment oversight and finance teams at Insight Europe, and where needed globally. The person will look to assist the growth of Insight Europe within the wider Insight group. The role benefits from having a wide remit which will allow the candidate to gain exposure to multiple areas of Finance. The role may also consist of occasional travel to London as required .

Requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Revenue reporting and analysis
- Prepare monthly revenue journal
- Review variance analysis and provide commentary
- Liaise with UK revenue team
Cost analysis
- Analyse cost expenditure and highlight trends
- Key role in the oversight of costs
Fund review and profitability analysis
- Participation in the monthly analysis of fund profitability
- Work with all areas of the business to review cost requirements for new funds
Forecasting and planning
- Initial input and eventual full preparation of quarterly planning rounds
- Identifying what is driving revenue and costs with the ability to explain these drivers
Support month end P&L close
- Timely and consistent reporting
- Promptly investigate and resolve any data issues
Regulatory returns and year-end statutory financial accounting
- Completion of full suite of Irish regulatory returns
- Production of year-end financial statements
- Leading the Audit process
Management information reporting and board reporting
- Produce monthly management information pack
- Prepare quarterly board packs including any ad hoc analysis
- Over time develop new monthly management and quarterly board packs
Business Partnering
- Business partnering with other global functions on items such as fund costs and profitability
Experience Required:
Essential
- Strong academic background
- Accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc)
- Ideal candidate would have experience in Finance / Audit or similar function
- Financial Services background
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc)
- Attention to detail
Preferred
- UK or Irish regulatory capital calculation experience
- Irish Tax and VAT experience
