We are recruiting for a leading consulting firm that is growing its finance advisory practice in the area of infrastructure, government and investment financing. As a business they provide strategic, commercial and financial advice on all aspects of the development, structuring, procurement, financing and delivering of infrastructure and real estate projects. The team is comprised of professionals from professional services, finance, investment banking, Government, economics, construction, funds management and industry.
- Strategic advice and business planning - various advice relating to strategic matters, the appraisal of investment cases, preparation of investment/business plans.
- Procurement – commercial advice to public and private clients in relation to the procurement of infrastructure assets and complex services.
- Financing – appraisal and raising of commercial finance to support the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Funding - Supporting clients in relation to grant applications and other Public sector funding matters.
- Contract / Grant Management – supporting the financial management of PPP contracts and grant programmes.
- Asset Management – supporting clients in creating value across the lifecycle of a project or portfolio of assets.
- Infrastructure M&A – supporting the process of acquiring and selling businesses and assets in infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding client requirements and co-developing the approach with the client
- Gathering, verifying and analysing information to formulate views.
- Understand, manipulate and interpret financial data and client information, drawing appropriate conclusions.
- Review Excel models and arrive at preliminary conclusions.
- Carry out relevant analysis, present findings (both written and orally) and provide value to our clients through insights, factual conclusions and advice.
- Project management of team, client and stakeholders (which may include investors, lenders, public officials, other advisors etc)
- Managing the day-to-day progression of assignments to include planning, preparing and reviewing various forms of deliverables to include reports and presentations.
- Apply a focus on anticipating and identifying risks that require escalation and subsequently escalating these risks as appropriate.
- Providing mentoring, coaching and support to junior team members
- Managing client engagement tasks, including billing and other administration
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure that work is properly executed, documented and concluded in compliance with Quality & Risk Management guidelines.
- Developing detailed proposals and other business development material
- Actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening your internal and external relationships.
- Maintaining and constantly upgrading technical knowledge and personal skills.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Experience/competency in two or more of the following: strategic advice and business planning, procurement, financing, funding, PPPs, contract/grant management, asset management, infrastructure M&A
- Accountancy, Corporate Finance or equivalent qualification with proven relevant and transferrable work experience
- Relevant degree, numeric subjects preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in English.
- Demonstrable organization and self-management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and client focus are important, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
