Job summary
Red Hat Engineering is looking for a Manager to join the CoreOS team with a focus on RHEL CoreOS and Fedora CoreOS container optimized operating systems.
As a Manager you will be responsible for developing and leading global technical teams in the delivery of quality products.
This position collaborates with other technical leaders to ensure a cohesive product suite.
You’ll get to work in an agile environment with a globally distributed team, who is passionate about emerging technologies and influencing the industry with the best container optimized operating systems.
What you will do:

Plans and executes work in alignment with high level engineering strategy, including design, development, and testing

Utilize data to monitor and assess operations, quality, & team health

Utilize resources effectively
-
Troubleshoot & resolve potential issues within team
-
Ensure that the estimation for the completion of work includes the activities for the entire team
What you will bring:
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in software development, quality assurance, or related technical field

Experience with software development practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD)

Proficiency with quality concepts (e.g., functional testing, unit testing, integration testing)

Working knowledge of Agile or other appropriate software development principles and methodologies
-
Demonstrated technical skills to effectively manage technical teams
-
Demonstrated experience mentoring technical team members
