Responsible for identifying new business opportunities for certain industries, markets, products or partners and creating appropriate business plans that use leveraged engagement strategies. SAP Business Development defines partner programs, by securing and contracting partners as alliances to engage in adding value to the SAP product. Core tasks include: Ensures appropriate involvement of SAP and partner personnel in customer projects. Identifies new market opportunities (i.e., products, markets and technology). Monitors company's market share and competition. Participates in customer presentations and meetings as appropriate to ensure closure of business opportunities.
Accountability
- Manages projects, defines deliverables and provides definitive advice and interpretation of situations ensures business critical & innovative results ensures that goals and milestones are met and approved budgets are managed appropriately.
- Manages escalation appropriately tracks single project budget line builds strategic partnerships with key decision makers in customer & partner organization may include team lead or supervisory responsibilities
- Manages projects of high volume or high risk/complexity and provides regular project status and updates.
Experience
- Sound professional experience deep knowledge of project management skills depending on LoB has a PMI, Six Sigma or equivalent certification in Six Sigma has black belt.
- Communication
- Represents SAP to customers' - is responsible for delivery of quality outcomes of projects of high volume or high risk represents SAP to customers finds common ground for cooperation within project team. Formulates clear project plans incl. mile stones, timeline and sub projects communicates messages relevant for project in a timely manner and with constructive feedback to project team.
- Captures opinions and expectations of stakeholder and communicates them to the project team.
Experience & Language Requirements:
- 5+ years professional business experience, international business experience preferred in enterprise software sales, sales enablement industry operations, corporate development.
- Experience in program planning and / or evaluating new business development opportunities in new or emerging markets.
- 3 + years of SAP work experience. Experience in Cloud in the B2B environment.
- Proficient understanding of SAP, its products and solutions, partners, markets and competition.
- Understanding of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks.
- Strong knowledge of best business practices and financial theory and analysis.
- Fluency in English, any other language an asset.
- Fluency in local language.
- All necessary local work permits preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science required from an accredited university.
MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred
