About this role:
As Engineering Team Lead you will report into the Head of Engineering. This role will see you immersed amongst a team of .NET developers, interacting with other teams such as Architects, Product, QA and DBA to name just a few. You’ll perform hands-on development with our exciting technology stack and play a key part in the design and decision-making process. While the role is hands-on from a coding perspective, there’s also a strong emphasis on involvement with enhancing design, technical standards, improving the development process and the ongoing investigation around new technologies and practices.

What we need you to do:
- Build out web-scale applications and platforms using modern .NET technology.
- Work with the latest platforms and tooling including Visual Studio/ReSharper/Rider, CoPilot, Chat GPT and .NET 6/.NET 8.
- Work with exciting Microsoft and Open-Source technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ, Structure Map, SQL, MongoDB and NHibernate).
- Participate in adoption of native AWS cloud technologies.
- Slice monoliths into new microservices as Docker containers.
- Lead a team of 2 developers; supporting and coaching them to succeed in their roles and develop their careersMeet challenging deadlines; collaborating with a team who are constantly thinking about efficiency through good practices.
What we are looking for:
- Ability to be part of the whole lifecycle of a feature; from idea to discussion with the business to delivery, release and production.
- Analytical skills with the ability to investigate and troubleshoot.
- A strong team player who has experience using Kanban methodologies and can mentor other members amongst a distributed team; fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- The ability to give accurate estimates and to manage timelines with other stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
