The Aviation Noise team is responsible for the monitoring, recording, analysing and the effective management of all activities related to aircraft noise and flight tracking to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The role reports directly to the Aviation Noise Lead and focuses on the reporting of operations, noise and flight track monitoring for both routine and statutory requirements and supporting responses to community engagement queries from the public, TD, RFI and AIE.
- Lead the governance reporting process specifically for noise and flight track monitoring and data management for distribution to the wider noise team and stakeholders.
- Generate reports for the Aviation Noise Team ensuring the information is at a consistent standard for regulatory reporting.
- Prepare and manage the generation of website content for the noise team.
- Partner with the Community Engagement team to support data requests when working through the complaint management process and flight tracking.
- Oversee management of the quota count and night movement operating restrictions compliance.
- Lead airline and ANSP engagement on performance improvement.
- Oversee Noise and community related research to better understand community needs.
- Prepare and finalise quarterly and annual compliance & performance reports.
- Liaise within the business and with external stakeholders on compliance and performance to consult and inform.
- Assist and support on the preparation and implementation of the strategic plans for all Noise related schemes including the Draft Regulation decision (DRD), Noise Insulation Scheme and noise mitigation.
- Working with the Aviation Noise Lead, develop support plans to regularly review the approach to noise management and the continuous of noise complaint management.
Knowledge & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Aviation Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years experience working in a similar role with specific experience in strategy management or strategic operations.
- Experience in airport operations, environmental science, environmental noise or similar would be advantageous.
- It would be advantageous (but not necessary) to have knowledge or experience in any of the following: aviation, airport operations, acoustics, environmental noise and sound insulation and IT including data management, spreadsheet, Power BI, Graphics.
