The Production Manager is responsible for the production of Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein at the Biovotec DAC manufacturing site in Dublin. Specific responsibilities include:
- Is responsible for the production of Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein and Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein Powder in accordance with the manufacturing procedures.
- Is responsible for planning Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein campaigns to meet demand.
- Is responsible for the recruitment and training of manufacturing technicians for the production of Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein.
- Is responsible for maintaining a safe manufacturing environment at the Dublin facility per the Biovotec Health and Safety statement.
- Leads the investigations into the root cause of Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein Powder batches that fail to meet the material specifications and production equipment failures.
- Prepares the Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein Powder production batch reports.
- Identifies opportunities for improvements to the production of Purified Eggshell Membrane Protein Powder.
- Is responsible for maintaining the Production Equipment Log, assignment of equipment numbers, labelling of production equipment and preparation of equipment record forms.
- Is responsible for coordinating the service and calibration of the manufacturing facility and production equipment with approved contractors.
- Represents Biovotec DAC’s interests at the DCU facility by liaising with the building landlord (DCU) and other tenants of the building.
- Is the Biovotec DAC point of contact for the company accountants McGinley and Company, Kildare.
Experience: At least 5 years in a manufacturing or development role within a regulated and approved healthcare product manufacturing environment. Broad experience in product and process development and a broad experience in a range of manufacturing technologies. Should have direct experience in medical device development and the requirements of IS013485.
Education: BSc or equivalent in a scientific or engineering discipline.
