Reliability Engineer / Equipment Owner
Job overview:
- You will be responsible for overall equipment uptime (availability and capability / CmK).
- You will be required to with operations & maintenance cross-functional teams to lead projects and PPS activity to maximise availability and reduce maintenance cost.
- You will continue to champion Element Six’s culture of “Put Safety First” through all aspects of the role.
Duties and tasks:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment; ensuring work is carried out using best practice.
- Comply with department and company procedures including Health & Safety.
- Ensure uptime is effective (machine meets required spec to achieve OEE) and availability.
- Set standard for PM’s, frequency and scope and tailor maintenance strategy for Ops area.
- Set standard for equipment baseline performance and measures, including identification and monitoring of key parameters.
- Perform reliability analysis for equipment, WEIBULL/ MTTR / MTBF. etc
- Ensure equipment complies with all relevant legislation and directives, including safety standards.
- Assist in capital investment decisions / recommendations.
Criteria skills:
- Appropriate engineering or science qualification. NFQ Level 8 or higher.
- A background of working with equipment from an engineering and/or maintenance perspective is critical.
- Some experience in Six Sigma and lean systems is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze data critically.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A motivated individual with strong can do attitude.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a cross functional and departmental team.
- Good understanding of health and safety standards as well as quality procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A diligent worker with a keen eye for detail.
