Job Title: Head of Finance – Part time (c 20-25 hours)

Our Client
We are working with a family office who are looking for a Head of Finance to join in a newly created role. The role is initially a part time position (c 20-25 hours a week) and they are ideally looking for the successful candidate to do 3 full days or 4/5 mornings per week.

Who should apply?
You will be a qualified accountant with at least 10 years experience looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment. In terms of background, I believe a person who was practice trained within a Big 4/Top 6 firm that has worked in both industry and financial services in a variety of roles would be ideal. Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting to the CEO the candidate must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. They must be able to see risks and opportunities behind financial data and act as a strategic business advisor to the partners. Duties will include:
- Oversee and support accountants on the preparation of monthly accounts, year-end, audit etc
- Monthly budgeting, year-end reporting and analysis
- Preparation of management accounts
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization to enable strong fiscal management, transparency of cash inflows/outflows, cash accruals, workflows, cross-team/region communications.
- Proceduralise operational support and finance team dynamic access, inputting and required monthly workflows.
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
- Working with advisors on tax planning & compliance
- Treasury and cashflow management
- Ad hoc project work at the request of CEO or Board
