Web Developer, eCommerce Permanent, Hybrid , Dublin
Role and Responsibilities (including)
- Commercial Web Development
- Work closely with customer requirement, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers to design and implement features and improve application functionality.
- Implement modern web development practices to enhance and create rich, interactive user interfaces and optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Provide UX \ UI recommendations, contribute to solution design relating to UI elements and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and receiving feedback to enhance your own code quality.
- Strong knowledge and commercial experience of Web UI single page applications, dynamic HTML, CSS, AJAX, responsive web sites
- Agile Development; Work closely with scrum masters to ensure the team's alignment with Agile principles. Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with project management to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and other technical issues. Debug and fix issues across browsers and platforms.
- Experience of automated unit testing of JavaScript code
What you need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering,
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience gained in a fast paced IT online e-commerce product delivery environment.
- Experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications using React, Node JS, JavaScript (ES6+), and HTML5
- Proficiency in React.js, including Hooks, Context API, and functional components.
- Experience of Next.JS
- Html 5 , CSS3
- TDD using CI/CD pipelines with Frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Storybook
- Working in a team on a shared code base enterprise level web solutions
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies and best practices in web development including secure web applications.
- Web Analytics tools such as Heap, Data Dog,
- Restful API’s
- TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET, Blazor would be nice to have
- Experience working in a team on a shared code base enterprise level web solutions
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies and best practices in web development including secure web applications.
- Experience of the crypto currency or financial industry would be an advantage .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
