Join our dedicated team where we provide project management expertise with responsibility for project execution post receipt of Capital Approval through to asset handover to our Networks business. The team specialises in:
- Successful delivery of the programme of projects in their totality for the Networks Business
- Applying a high level of safety standards in every aspect of the work
- Management of contractors monitoring their progress including validation of progress payments
We are currently seeking Project Engineers / Project Delivery Specialists to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects in compliance with all safety standars
- Management of project interfaces such as procurement (including tender negotiations), design, free issue material, power cables, telecoms etc
- Support Design and Engineering teams with inspections of plant and materials and works on site, to ensure technical specifications are met and monitor progress against the contract. At certain stages of progress of works more frequent attendance on site may be a requirement.
- Contractor engagement including the monitoring of contractor progress and validation of progress payments, providing monthly progress reports and managing schedules
- Preparation / coordination of technical schedules, price schedules and other documents required to complete packs of enquiry documents, against which tenderers will submit proposals.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We are looking for the following skills:
- Five or more years’ experience in the power industry.
- A proven track record in delivering engineering projects and project management.
- Experience of dealing with construction contractors to ensure that they deliver to specified requirements.
- Good knowledge of the PSDP/CDMC and PSCS processes.
- Competent understanding of key elements of construction management.
- Hold a full driving license and have access to a car.
Qualifications
Essential
- Level 8 relevant qualification, including Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or equivalent work experience is essential
Location
We have roles on offer across the South, Midlands, Dublin and North regions.
Our offices are situated at One Dublin Airport Central or Eastgate, Cork.

Salary:
€57,000 to €68,000
