Our client are emerging as one of the main residential property developers in Ireland. They hold a significant landbank in prime locations and currently have numerous projects at various stages of the development process.
We are seeking an experienced property or construction professional to act as Development Manager to identify, develop, procure and monitor a pipeline of development projects in the Irish market. This will require a property professional with experience of driving new build and refurbishment projects through the full development cycle and may suit someone from a design, project management, contractor or developer background.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Management of all commercial, legal, financial, planning & construction issues associated with a portfolio of development projects
· Management of projects through the development process from concept design through planning and construction and fit-out
· Overseeing the procurement of appropriate consultants and contractors to deliver the project and manage their output
· Insuring designs and buildings are compliant with the appropriate legislation at all stages of the development process
· Creating awareness around commercial/contractual risk and developing strategies for mitigation and management
The role will involve working in a small team and will require a regular physical presence in Dublin although some flexibility around working hours may be offered.
Candidates will ideally have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Finance, Engineering or a Construction/Property related discipline and proven experience in delivering property developments (€30m+) from concept stage through to completion. Interested candidates from a specialist background who can demonstrate an exposure and understanding of the development process may also be considered.
