Role: Junior Software Engineer

As our business continues to grow, we're strengthening our team and looking for a proactive 💥 Junior Software Developer 💥 to join us! This role focuses on frontend application development while requiring a solid understanding of backend fundamentals. You'll be working as part of an agile team,gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Work location:
- Galway, Ireland (hybrid work model, minimum 2 days/week in the office).
Key responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software using agile techniques.
- Work with the broader self-solve portal release train, release train engineer, product manager, architects, and the product owner to understand, estimate, and refine the product backlog.
- Participate in regular demonstrations of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders.
For this role, we value candidates who have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience:
- ➡️ Hands-on industry experience with frontend application development including JavaScript, Angular or React, CSS & HTML.
- ➡️ Familiar with making REST API calls and SQL querying.
- ➡️ Regular use of GitHub.
- ➡️ Solid knowledge and understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Good knowledge of software engineering best practices such as automated testing, refactoring and continuous integration.
- Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written.
- Technical curiosity and a desire for continuous learning.
