Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer (Financial Services, Oracle PL/SQL, Performance tuning, Optimisation, Python, AWS, REST APIs)
Location: Galway, Ireland
12-month contract (potential for extension)
Hybrid Work Model (5 days per month in office, the rest is REMOTE)

As a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of innovative, mission-critical systems. This role offers the chance to work on greenfield initiatives and collaborate with an outstanding team to build scalable, cloud-based applications.

What can you expect from this role?
The position aligns to the Asset Management Technology organization which provides worldwide technology and support to the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. This Data Engineer role involves developing consistent, reliable, maintainable, performance focused code for Common Data platforms leveraged by the applications supporting Client's Asset Management business.
Key requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of design and development experience
- Strong experience with relational database technologies (Oracle SQL & PL/SQL)
- Experience with logical data modelling and relational database design
- Experience in SQL performance tuning and performance optimization
- Whilst the role is database focused, some experience in any of the following would be a plus: specifically Python, Spring boot plus familiarity with ORM frameworks
- Working experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous: AWS, Containerization, associated build and deployment CI/CD pipelines, also Unix scripting and AutoSys skills would be a plus
- Snowflake or ETL Informatica are a plus
- Experience of working within an agile scrum development environment
- Experience of working with a distributed team
- Proven track record of product delivery
Meeting the most of these requirements is only an advantage! PL/SQL experience is mandatory!
