Role Overview
The Project Engineer at CEL will serve as a critical link between the Engineering Department and the Projects Department. The role demands technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between the Projects Department and the wider Engineering team.
Review and resolve technical queries from the Projects Department regarding engineering designs in production.
Collaborate with the Technical Lead and Engineering team to address outstanding queries from the Projects Department.
Represent the Engineering team in all project-related meetings.
Report on current issues at weekly Engineering meetings.
Assist the Technical Lead in reviewing new designs.
Support the continuous improvement of technical designs.
Help close out and implement improvements based on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Ensure that all engineering documentation provided to the Projects Department is up-to-date and accurate.
Undertake other duties as assigned to maintain an efficient interface with the Engineering Department.
Qualifications
Experience:
Proven experience in a technical, engineering, or project-focused role within an engineering environment, ideally involving electrical switchgear manufacturing or installation.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with technical and engineering documentation.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
