Meta is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position on our global Corporate Accounting team, based in our Dublin office. The successful candidate will be a top academic performer with multinational experience in the area of financial accounting / reporting.This is a great role for anyone looking to accelerate their learning, build new things and collaborate with cross-functional business partners. Corporate Accountant Responsibilities:
- Work within a Corporate Accounting global process function, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (P&L and BS)
- Help define and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial close
- Contribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycle
- Coordinate and review the work of our outsourced partners
- Oversee US GAAP month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Partner with our global team to optimize worldwide processes, systems & controls
- Lead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and tools
- Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teams
- Create close business partnerships and manage service levels with third party service providers
Minimum Qualifications:
- Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
- Relevant industry PQE (Post-Qualification Experience) with large, fast-growing, multinational company
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and SOX (IFRS and local GAAP is also desirable)
- Demonstrated computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (experience with Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Essbase is an advantage)
- Team player and leader who is very comfortable working as part of a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations
- Demonstrated planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the 'big picture' and the importance of risk mitigation and a controls environment
- Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement
