The Role:
To support its continuing growth, Activate is seeking highly motivated and dynamic investment professionals to join its Credit Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidates will have excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen, with a good understanding of / or interest in real estate markets. The role offers an immersion in credit analysis, management and execution, within a strong learning and development environment, while working daily with experienced investment professionals, including regular exposure to the CEO and the Activate Board / Investment Committee.
Responsibilities:
- Performing detailed credit analysis (including financial modelling, valuations, sensitivity analysis and risk/return assessments) to support new investment recommendations.
- Front-line responsibility for the credit management of existing investments, including the analysis of trading performance, covenant compliance and financial reporting.
- Developing and communicating timely and thoughtful credit insights for existing and new investments, including the preparation of succinct credit memos.
- Leading transaction execution, including managing third-party due diligence, coordinating the process, and handling negotiations and investment documentation.
Core Requirements:
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent, coupled with experience at a Big 4 or advisory/financial services firm.
- Proven academic excellence with a degree in finance, mathematics, engineering, or another quantitatively-focused field.
- Experience in corporate finance, transaction services, M&A, investment banking, or capital markets.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- A strong inclination for teamwork, continuous learning, and personal growth, with a commitment to contributing to team success.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of writing and presenting concisely and effectively.
