Who You Are

An innovative and curious technical wizard, driven to find new and creative ways of solving challenges in a rapidly evolving environment.

The ideal candidate will be deeply technical, constantly tuned into the needs of the business, and recognise that the only thing that matters is delivering a seamless and positive customer experience.

If you’re comfortable quickly pushing 80:20 version 1’s and iterating these based on customer feedback, love to work and experiment when it comes to different technologies, and comfortable working in a fast paced startup, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Day to Day:

Designing and developing scalable solutions to complex frontend backend problems.
Fixing bugs raised by QA and/or clients
Take ownership and drive the best software development/engineering and operational practices for the team.
Lead and collaborate in conversations about the design and architecture of our codebases and upcoming new builds and code refactors.
Incorporate unit testing as an integral part of the development process
Lead the end to end project lifecycle and manage the sustainability of existing tools.
Participate in the full cycle of development.
Develop responsive and elegant cross-platform functionality, with an eye for user experience.
Help track and address technical debt.
Work closely with our core users and other teams to gain interesting insights.
Coordinating and managing our Information Security processes and procedures.
Mentor team members, share knowledge, and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and tools, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to the table to address business challenges effectively.

Requirements:

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
3+ years work experience with a JavaScript for Web UI framework such as Vue.js, Angular or React.
3+ years of work experience with PHP and frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony or Laminas/Zend.
Strong database background (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Teradata or equivalent).
Linux fundamentals, shell scripting.
Experience working with a cloud provider like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Backend: PHP 8, Laravel 10/11, Python, API REST, PHPUnit.
Database: MySQL, Redis.
Mobile: React Native.
Cloud: AWS - EC2, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, CloudFront, IAM, RDS, Lambda.
DevOps: Docker, Ansible, Terraform.
Tools: Visual Studio Code, JIRA, Git, Postman, Cypress, Selenium.

Our Hybrid Approach to Work

At Indeemo we recognise the evolution that has taken place when it comes to hybrid working. Our hope is to achieve a balance between working in the office and from home that makes sense - to achieve flexibility while maximising communication, collaboration, creativity and productivity and preserving our company’s amazing culture.

Your first 3 months in the role, you will be required to be on-site at our offices in Blackpool 4 days per week - Monday to Thursday, on Friday we WFH. Once you have completed 3 months with the team, you will have the option to scale back to 3 days per week on-site.
